Some of you may have already heard about a company who refused to print a three-year-old child's name on a birthday cake. What's the big deal, you may be asking. Well this child has the unfortunate distinction of being called Adolf Hitler Campbell.

This entire story is a case-study in irony. The unfortunately-named child's father, Heath Campbell, has asked the company for a little tolerance. The same Mr Campbell who called one of his other children JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell.



"I think people need to take their heads out of the cloud they've been in and start focusing on the future and not on the past," said Mr Campbell, adding: "They need to accept a name. A name's a name. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what he [Hitler] did."

This is the same Mr Campbell who asked for a swastika to be included in a previous cake's decoration.



Eventually Mr Campbell and his wife, Deborah, got their cake. The parents threw a party for their little boy. There were twelve guests at the party. Some of them were of mixed raced. Mr Campbell said: "If we're so racist, why would I have them come into my home?"

I ask: If Mr Campbell isn't racist, why did he give his own kids such names? Did he do it for teh lulz? C'mon, Mr Campbell - anybody can see you're racist, and I don't care what you have to say. You could have called your kids anything. Hell, you could have invented names for your kids if you wanted to give them a unique or attention-grabbing name. Instead, you chose to give your children those names. Mr Campbell, you obviously fail at life.



Am I being too harsh on Mr Campbell - and Mrs Campbell, who presumably also had some say in what her kids were called? No I don't think so. As far as I'm concerned, giving children such names is a form of child abuse. There really should be laws in place to stop nuts such as Mr Campbell getting away with giving their children Aryan Nation and Adolf Hitler.

If my wish that the parents will be forced to change their children's names doesn't come true, I hope for three things. One: That when the kids are old enough to introduce themselves to others, other people will remember that it's not their fault their parents gave them such stupid names. Two: That the kids aren't traumatized by having been given such unfortunate distinctions. Three: That Mr and Mrs Campbell face child abuse charges and are jailed for a very long time.
